I test drove a new M2 before the Cayman. I know these cars aren't apples to apples but they were both in my price range. The M2 was fun to drive, the power was good, and it looks pretty cool. But the Cayman was head and shoulders above the M2 in terms of overall performance and handling, build quality, comfort, looks, and of course fun.

The interior comparison really surprised me. My Cayman has a pretty much stock interior, but it's handsome, functional, comfortable, and built of high quality materials. The M2 is loaded with silly blue stitching and fake carbon fiber.
