Default Sound deadening in 2018 718 Boxster

Has anyone experimented with sound deadening material in these cars? The engine is so close to the driver's ears, and I find the noise annoying. There might be room to put panels of such material on the firewall or elsewhere.

Thanx!

This is part of the reason many of us get this platform. Personally I love hearing the engine so close. Even if only 4 cylinders! Good luck though...

You might try deactivating the Soundaktor. The change is subtle (in my opinion) but...
The easiest means I've read yet (and what I did) was:
1) In the trunk, right side rear, just by the tail light: pull the liner back to get a view of the fuse panel behind.
2) Pull the fuse to this device: 7.5A fuse (red) in row A (top), slot 10 (last).

Easily reversed if you don't like the change.

Someone put Dynamat all over the inside of the panels of their Cayman as part of an audio upgrade. I think it would definitely reduce the sound coming into the cabin.
