We've only done 1.5 weeks on the new GTS 4.0 350/350mm Girodisc/Pagid setup and they look and feel great, but with the previous setup we were able to go about 8 track weekends on the Giro rotors and 3 weekends on the PFC pads. That was the 350/330mm setup with factory 718 S calipers.
The verdict is still out on the new setup and we probably won't be tracking again until after the new year. This is our shop car and Suncoast is so busy year round it's hard to make it out every month.

I just replaced my stock brakes with your original 350/330 setup with Giros and DS3.12's, and I'm getting so many faults my dash looks like a Xmas tree!

Hi Matt,
We've never experienced any faults when swapping to the big brake kit. We did put in a 991.2 Carrera GTS brake master cylinder and had the car programmed for PCCB brakes. But aside from those changes we've never had any fault issues

I also have the Girodisc 350/330 setup (and have used a few different types of pads) and I've never had any faults related to brakes. And I have a LOT of track days on these rotors. I'm actually really surprised how long they're lasting.

Agree. Seems the wiring for the wheel speed sensor is damaged and the computer is no longer getting the signal. That info is critical to abs, stability control, and it seems even the parking brake. I guess the parking brake can't be activated if the car is moving?

Check it very carefully. I had the tiniest nick on my Tesla speed sensor and eventually water got in and made the computer go nuts.

Just as a follow up to the Girodisc Brake 350/350 upgrade I did a few calcs using:
http://track-build.com/brake-bias-calc, and
https://racingbrake.com/cayman-boxst...7-981-982-718/ for piston areas
As expected the increased piston area and disc size of the GTS 4.0/991.2 calipers increases brake torque particularly on the rear creating more rear brake bias, that is closer to that of a GT4 (same as GT3). So my thought is that the Cayman/Boxter platform can handle a lot more rear braking over the stock brakes before locking up given no reports of issues, particularly with stickier tires.
My other thought is whether or not the extra rear bias causes any issues to the PSM in the stock car which is presumably calibrated for a lot more front bias, or are people with the 350/350 brake/disc upgrade turning PSM off or tracking in PSM-Sport? Are there any other things we should be considering?

Burning Brakes
Your avatar looks like you have a 2.5T engine in your Cayman. Did you notice a large difference in braking going to the Girodisk 350/330 rotors?
#567
yes there was. seat-of-my-pants butt dyno told me the braking was significantly increased, by what felt like 50%, when i first went from stock setup to giro discs and their (NLA) s/s pads. wonderful setup for the track.
