A/C shut off
The engine temp got to 200 degrees and no cool air was coming out of my A/C. The owners manual says" if the engine gets hot the A/C shuts off".
What temperature does it shut off at???? The next day it was blowing cold air again. Do I need to have the sensor checked??? or is it normal???
It seems to me 200 degrees is low????

My car sits at 215*F oil temp regularly in Normal mode. It goes down to below 200 in Sport / Sport+
My coolant temp (which is what I assume you're talking about) is always below 200 though.

I don't have any back up but it is my understanding that the coolant temp gauge is a dummy gauge and the oil temp reads actual temperature. That being said if your car got hot enough to shut off the AC you need to get it checked especially if it was in normal driving. My 18 CGTS running at Sebring Sept 6, 2018 in 94 degree weather with Windows up and AC on did not shut down or show high water or oil temps.
