SOUL | 718 Boxster / Cayman Bolt-On X-Pipe With Tips

Love the sound of your factory rear exhaust on your Boxster / Cayman but want to change the style of your exhaust tips? Soul Performance Products has an easy to install solution to increase aesthetics and tone with a bolt-in X-pipe for the best possible flow with tips of your choosing. The cast X-pipe smooths exhaust pulses and lends to a more refined exhaust note.

+ Fits all 718 Porsche Boxster / Cayman vehicles with factory exhaust
+ Direct bolt on installation
+ Cast T304L stainless steel X-pipe
+ Variety of 3.5″ 321 steel tip options

The factory Boxster / Cayman “T” tip section allows for exhaust gasses to crash into each other when coming out of the muffler before exiting the tips. This cost cutting method creates turbulence and hurts performance. By incorporating a smooth, cast X-pipe into the rear section this allows for a more efficient flow path from the exhaust gases. A small increase in gas mileage during cruising and more power when accelerating aggressively should be expected.

CONSTRUCTION: A cast T304L stainless steel x-pipe is used for a smooth inner wall and clean “X” section for maximum flow. Choose from a number of single wall stainless tips (slash cut or straight cut) or chrome double wall tips in a number of finishes to personalize your Porsche. Every order is rigorously quality-checked prior to shipping.

Where is the rest of the exhaust system from Soul? Nothing else except an X-Pipe withTips? Anything else coming?

Thanks for asking! We have lots of projects lined up for development and 718 is definitely on the list. By the end of the year we'll have a bolt in HJS HD 200 cell catalytic converter section and rear exhaust solution.

That's great news, I've been thinking of going with FabSpeed Turbo Back , but it's always great to have more options to pick from!

Hi. A couple questions - do these tips extend further than the stock tips? If you backed into something wouldn't you hit your exhaust tips instead of your bumper? Thanks.

Happy to help! We offer tips that fit into two categories - long and short. The double wall tips are considered "long" for the 718 and do stick out as you see. If you back straight up you could hit the tips first.

Alternatively we offer hand built single wall tips which can be either "long" or "short". The short tips protrude around the same length as factory. There is around a half inch of room for depth adjustment on both set.s

You note "Easy to install." Do you have procedures we can access? I'd kind of like to upgrade the look of my tips, but piling $100 to $200 for install on top of the cost makes it less appealing. I'd rather do the work myself.
Thanks.

We have a 718 coming in this month that'll we'll be creating a complete installation with on the tip replacement and the rest of our exhaust suite. I've done the tip replacement before personally, and would say it takes 1-2hrs if you've got some DIY experience. The most difficult part of the install is spreading the mufflers apart in order to remove/replace the tip assembly, but is made easier if you loosen up the catback system from it's attachment points. Some guys find it easiest to fully disconnect one of the muffler assemblies from both ends. Having access to a lift compared to jack stands is nice as it gives you a bit more leverage, but I wouldn't say is required as I've replaced a catback exhaust system in my garage on jack stands in less than 3hrs. I'm happy to chat about it a bit more in depth if you're up for it

Sure! The owner of the R&D car is putting on some break in mileage before he drops it off. If it works out have we have planned, we should have it in early next week to start having some fun : )

Cool, but this thread was about your exhaust tips. You had said you would be posting a link to an installation guide?
