Default want Metallic black 19" Cayman S wheels on 718 boxster

I'm in Los Angeles and looking to get black metallic wheels. My Boxster is pictured below. Getting a nice metallic black color would compliment the white exterior well.

On the porsche website it says it will cost 8k. Ebay has glossy black ones for about 2400 (plus labor) https://www.ebay.com/itm/19-Porsche-...-/302842025837

Are there any less expensive options? Obviously I'm not going to spray paint my new 2018 boxster, but I'd rather not spend 2k+ on a "nice to have". Feedback is much appreciated

So you'd rather buy new wheels than have the current ones painted? Why? Do you need two sets of wheels?

Plasti-dip is a low cost option: https://rennlist.com/how-tos/a/porsc...sti-dip-378030

If you search for plasti-dip you will find a lot of hits on the rennlist.

And, if you don’t like it, it’s reversible.

Thanks for the plasti-dip suggestion!

I'm looking at black sapphire wheels from Dipyourcar https://www.dipyourcar.com/collectio...hire-wheel-kit
and gloss black center caps from Suncoast https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKUBLKCCS.html OR eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/PORSCHE-MAC...sAAOSwvflZXokB

Does this look like a good pairing?

The coloured wheel caps (on whatever background matches the wheels) add a lot more bling than I would have thought possible.
I got mine off ebay for $12 delivered!

Wow that's a good deal. Are your caps concave or flat? I haven't seen a set of four on ebay below $80... but I'll keep browsing

Very slightly concave--probably not more than 2 or 3 mm, totally unnoticeable on the wheels. The 72.something mm size seems to be a standard for Porsche. Mine came from China, in what appeared to be authentic Porsche boxes. I was initially disappointed as the red wasn't as bright as I wanted. The badge itself soon faded a bit and I took them off to see if a re-paint would brighten things up--and discovered that I hadn't removed the 'all but invisible' protective plastic. DUH! Now they look original and and with 10,000+ km still appear new.

NFI. But if you ‘dip your wheels and the caps d0n’t match then you ‘dip the caps after masking the crests if they’re painted and you’re all set.

Do the caps NOT mounted on the wheels unless you want to re-‘dip when you get wheels balanced or tires changed,
