Default Soundproofing 718 Boxster?

Does anyone have any experience with trying to reduce the engine noise in the cabin (not necessarily exhaust noise) in the 718 Boxster?

Yes, I did a search, to no avail.

Have you manually disabled the Soundaktor? That is likely all you need/want to do.

Do try that. With the top up and non-sport mode it's limousine quiet up to 70 mph at least. With the top down and sport mode it's a real open sports car.

Disabling the Soundaktor is easy to do (takes about 2 minutes) and is the best thing I've done to my 718C to date. Makes a big difference in the cabin noise, at least in my Cayman.

Agree 100%. Now I would like the exhaust note to be a bit more prevalent but it is a huge improvement.

I had no idea there was a Soundaktor on the 718's. Its a major nuisance on the Golf R and other VW Group models.
