I smh every time I hear or see one of these piling on situations about the 718 sound.

The 718 S and GTS sound awesome. They don't sound the SAME as the NA flat 6 cylinder... but then again, they're superior in every objective way.

I have a couple Priuses as company cars, and I love the sound of the electric motors. Blasphemy? No. It's the sound of a tool that is well-honed to do what it does best. The 2.5 in the 718 S/GTS is exactly that.

My last car had a 5.0 V8 that also had a great -but different - sound. My point is that there can be more than ONE great sounding drivetrain for a vehicle. Some people need to learn to expand their appreciation of automotive sounds.

If the sound is not for you, just move along. I will keep and enjoy the hell out of my 718 GTS.

The NA engines are not coming back.

The bad news:

Well hopefully they can add a few more shades of white, metallic white, dark white, chalk, dolphin gray, light silver, medium silver, dark silver, stone gray, gray, black, metallic black. And of course Guards Red and Racing Yellow.
