What tire sizes should I run with Kuhmo v710? 305 or 315 rear and 245 front ? Thanks. Mike

Run the 245/35 front and 305/30 rear. The 315's are way to tall and will mess with your gearing.

Dave won't have them on this fri but will run them in June with ncrc 20/21 sat/sun. I'm driving there with them on- LOL. Would that be a problem- too much wear? Ill be looking for a second set of rims at years end. Mike

No problem. Have a look at this spread sheet I put together and you can see the height difference.

Guys , I have new 305s (for the rear) sitting in my garage when they are ready to be mounted after the hoosiers are toast. For those that have tried both, how do the V710s compare with the R6 in longevity, durability and lap times?

IMPRESSIVE.
btw, add 255 for R6.
it's new size
i think 255 would be better with 315.

I can't remember Pete. The Dente's used them on their GT3 (they no longer play with us) and they drove to and from the track and he (2nd place at Daytona 24) was stupid fast on them. I don't think they lasted very long. At the track they wouldn't last more then a day.

Ask Rad, he used every tire under the sun.

I prefer the Kumho to the Hoosier, it's a great choice use 245/305, the 315 does not work with the abs.
They will last longer than the Hoosier.

I wish they made them in the GT2 size.

I've ran both hoosiers and kuhmos on my vw gti and I prefer kuhmos- for some reason I feel the kuhmos has more feedback at the limit where I thought Hoosiers though grippy as it is it felt kinda vague at the limit. Mooty- if ccw used falls my way end of year I'm going for that but if not will go with your favorite the OZ allegritta hlt- I like how they look. I'll go with 305/245 combo and hopefully it lasts longer then one track day- June will be a 3 dayer- Unlimited laps june 19(fri), ncrc june 20/21(sat/sun) at thill- woohoo!!!!. Mike

Hey guys....does anyone have an old V710 305 (18") they are willing to sell me. I need to pick up one to get mounted to do a trial fit before I pull the trigger on tires. I'll pick up the shipping and what ever you want for the tire of course.

I'm desperate for a tire...and would love to pick one of these up! Thanks in advance for any help.

cheers...jeff
