All:

I have a mystery hose in my trunk. It comes from the fender wall, and goes into a black hose, then just ends. As seen here (laying along the battery).



What should the black 90 degree end be hooked into?

To the battery vent - if your battery has one.

I thought I knew these cars pretty well... But cant say that Ive ever seen a pump over the battery. Is that an ABS pump? If so when did they start putting them there? Ive always seen ABS on the pan behind the battery....

edit: I may have answered my own question... is that a C4? Full hydrualic ABS?

Your battery isn't a maintenance free one, so there should be a vent somewhere. I recommend checking to make sure. Last thing you want is battery acid flowing around in the trunk.
