Default wheel spacer questions

I have OEM 18" wheels (I think 7 1/2 and 10"). They are the carrera classic wheels. I want to get some spacers and take the wheel all the way out (with out rubbing). What are the widest recommended spacers? I was thinking 15MM on all 4 but wasn't sure.

thanks,

PS I do have coilovers and my car is lower than stock but no too much.

Your best bet is to measure the available space yourself on both the front and rear tires. Here is a diagram that may help you see what I am takling about (sorry about the poor drawing).

All you need to do is measure the distance (in mm) between the outside of the fender and the tire at the fender opening height (gold line). Then subrtact the width of "lip" in the inside of the fender. That will give you the available space of your current set up. Then you can determine how much to reduce that number by to give you a "margin od safety" so the wheels don't rub.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I am using H&R spacers. 7mm front and 15mm rear, this is a popular combination. some opt for the 15mm spacers up front too. I prefer to lean to the conservitive side
