Just , You know,,,asking? Here are some ways to address the issues...

BTW it appears by the definition alone, a "Good Instructor" is not a Prima Donna....

Many are.
However all I need to do is take them out of the 500 hp TT's and strap them in my 130 whp crappy old 944 and take out for a few laps and they spend the rest of the day with their tail between thier legs!

I think the Internet has the magical ability to magnify the qualities and faults of individuals.

I imagine that most people who hang out around here are basically decent people, and a lot of them would be fun be around.

The good thing about a prima donna student is that you can kick them out of the car, or put them on ignore.

Not that complicated . . .

I have had two students who were prima donnas. One was a pretty decent driver, and could have been REALLY good if he got rid of a couple of bad habits (like braking way too late for every corner), but seemed pathologically allergic to any coaching that conflicted with what he was doing while thinking he was God's Gift AKA Fangio In Disguise. The other was mediocre at best, had every go fast part available for his car, and was similarly pathologically allergic to coaching while thinking he was God's Gift AKA Fangio In Disguise.

I've had a few of these students and agree with your comments. Nothing humbles them faster than taking them out for a ride in my car and scaring them into submission.

Jim,
My comment was made in jest as I have been blessed with resonable students, but it amazing how a students attitude (even the good ones) changes after they see how it is done.
