Default This is a little embarassing...where to stick this hose

I'm hoping someone can identify this hose for me, before I start tearing apart the front of the car. I noticed the lose end when returning the spare tire to its location. The hose is not long engough to reach a drain hole under the spare. The hose enters the trunk area just behind the driver's headlight access area and runs around the batteryto about the center of the bumper. Could it be part of the right side headlamp washer or a drainage tube? I can't find anything like it in the PET catalogue.
Thanks for any insight.

Looks like the battery vent tube. The place you "stick" it is in the middle of the battery on top underneath the sticker. Just did it 1 hour ago.

Battery vent tube. Goes next to the interstate sticker on the battery. May be a tight fit, not all vents from all batteries will fit that tube. I ended up using a section of heat shrink tubing to make mine work.

Interstate has a oval shaped vent so may be a tight fit. I got mine from a Rennlister and fits perfect.

As stated above, it connects to the battery vent at the top of the battery in the center...see the circled area below...

and a very important tube it is...

the PO on my 964 (or his shop) neglected this and the result was battery acid under the tray.
Very hard to clean that stuff up completely, even after much neutralizing with baking soda.
Put it back on!
