Two more questions: what switch goes in the hole to the left of the clock? I've seen images online with a switch in that location, as well as examples without a switch (and no hole).

For the 1963-64 era, did Porsche offer just one black color, or were there multiple?

I have master light switch left of clock
Right side is fog lights
Left side ashtray wipers
Right side lighter
I do not have my 356 @ my location now but this is what I would say..... ;-)

Location of fog light switch dependent on year, there's a technical service bulletin that addresses it.

I replaced my clock with an oil pressure gauge. My cell phone tells me what time it is and the idiot light coming on is too late.
