Default parts or project?

The answer is "parts", and im seeking opinions on valuation options. I have the remains of a 1956 356A coupe 1600. "Remains" is the operative word..no chassis no body.. just a front beam, transaxle, 4 complete brakes, rear suspension, a complete motor, and the section of trunk floor with the VIN. COA shows engine and trans match to VIN. ..so its a "matching numbers" pile of parts.

Without a car, is there any value advantage to the matching numbers? Or do I just have some disparate 356 parts?

In the "darker" market, that might be a "numbers matching" project.

Unfortunately it's probably too far gone to be saved. I was going to say that you could post the engine for sale and maybe the person who has the car... And then I saw yours was #s matching. Of course had your car been a speedster someone would pay a fortune for a vin plate and #s matching
