Looking for an older Porsche for Wedding Get-away Car (Pittsburgh area)
Hello all and pardon the interruption.
I'm getting married on May 5th in the Pittsburgh area and have been looking for a get-away car to drive from the church to the reception (wouldn't need it for anything else).
I was hoping to find someone out there with an older pre-964 911 or the dreams of dreams, a 356. I'm a member of PCA, already tried the ARPCA but to no avail, so I appeal to Rennlist now.
Any ideas/suggestions would be welcome.

1. No luck on 356talk. They treasure their 356s too much to lend one out to a stranger. Hmm, I didn't promise them I'd let them take the 944 turbo out in exchange though...
2. Hertz does not have any 356s in their current inventory
3. The wifey will not be loaned out to anyone, but good try asking
Thanks for the replies though

If you were local, I wouldn't have a problem loaning out my Roadster for your special day. Someone local was also inquiring a few years ago for a wedding car. I almost offered my car back then as well, but their wedding was in Feb, thus a 90% chance of rain on the wedding date.
I was caught in a rainstorm once driving to a West Coast holiday in my Roadster. It was pouring, and almost impossible to see and we had towels everywhere catching the water running into the cabin.
So I ended up not offering the car to that couple as I couldn't see someone in their fancy wedding tux or dress dealing with the car if it rained.
I don't have a problem with other people driving my cars as long as they know what they are doing. Since my cars have been restored and well insured, if something were to happen, it could usually be re-restored unless mashed by a train or driven off a cliff. But if I had a original paint pristine car, I probably would never drive it myself.
