What you need more than anything is patience. I've been looking for about a year. Which coast are you on? It's a lot harder on the East coast. There just aren't as many cars to look at.

Default Got the 356 home!!

Paint looks better in the photos than up close but the body is completely rust free. Thinking in terms of going for a slightly outlaw look and adding needed HP. Lots of good options. The next posted photo shows a carrera 2 which is the inspiration for the outlaw concept. I think the stripes look cool but will probably not put the numbers on. I found a hood cowl mirror this weekend. Thinking about adding the wire mesh headlight covers too.

apex, your car looks quite nice - sure it's not too nice to "outlaw"? how original is it - do you have the COA / numbers match, etc? a car w/ known history, unrusted chassis, complete car in good or better driving condition is a great find - whatever course you choose - enjoy!

Thanks for the nice comments folks! It is a numbers matching car but has been painted silver when the original color was dolphin grey. Dolphin grey is a rare\special order color so it would be nice to eventually return it back to that color.

Here is an example of that color:

Default outlaw in low res.

Carrera 2 outlaw inspiration. Sorry for the photo of a photo but it would be fun to make the car look like this knowing it could later be painted. I probably won't do the numbers-just the red stripes, a cowl mirror, headlight grills and perhaps a nice red Pegasus on the rear of the car.
