Yeah, I don't buy JS purposefully trying to dupe anyone, and especially at that money level.

It almost reads as though they say its not authentic because it can't be proven that it is authentic. One for CourtTv for sure.
Big mistake by Jerry though in making his generous offer, apparently it was recorded.

Default Seinfeld sold fake porsche

I dont agree with the term as is. If you buy a Porsche and ends up that the pistons or engine is from other brand. Is fraud. They all get greedy the more they have more they want. Hope this gets resolved.

This is an issue I will never encounter with my well driven 96' 993 in my lifetime. All I can say to Jerry & his buyer is that this is a problem only money can buy!

I'm curious as to why European Collectibles is willing to sacrifice their reputation. This is some major negative publicity.
And the world is quite small when it comes to reputable Vintage Porsche dealers at this level.

Story must be deeper than we are hearing.

I believe it starts with a real motor and a car built to match the Kardex of that engine number. Sort of reverse engineering. Agree it is not a good business decision for EC - if you Google European Collectibles, the lawsuit is the second (and third and fourth) listing. A 692/0 motor is VERY rare and might be worth north of $500k if it is well rebuilt. BTW, the party suing Jerry likely has much deeper pockets than Jerry.

reverse image search email checker port checker it be CAR FACTS , like the history, or the facts of the car ? Not FAX like a fax machine that transmits copies of documents.

No idea of Seinfeld's intention re Carfax, but the name, I believe, originated in a time when the car FACTS information was delivered by fax machine.

Lol there's no way this is on Jerry. He's generally well known as a good guy and is very nearly a Billionaire... read: $950 Million... There is no chance he risks something like this on purpose. Whoever is suing just wants publicity or their 15 minutes of fame.

it was a made up car. Jerry bought it not knowing it was a “fake” and he sold it not knowing it was a “fake.”

many of us had suspicions about that car and the restorer. The incredible thing here is that Jerry didn’t do his homework prior to buying or while owning it.
