Default The First Porsche 356 Ever Built!

Hey guys,

So i was in Toronto over the weekend and Porsche was hosting a 70th anniversary event at the Harbour Front Centre, in which they had the first Porsche ever built. It was 356 No.1 and it was truly an amazing piece of history to see.

I uploaded a quick walk around of the car to youtube, heres the link to that video

LOL,
It was in Vancouver a week or so ago and they made a BIG deal about this being the only North American stop on it's tour.....

So freaking cool! How cool is it that they actually own #1 and that they still bring it out for the world to see.

Not much original on that car. It fell off a plane (really) while unloading a few years ago. Was folded in two like a kleenex.
Nice Facsimile.

Really? I know they made a replica, is this the reason for the replica?

Yikes. That's a shame.

It is likely the real car, but it has been restored quite a few times, the last time from a very destructive wreck. I don't think much of the original body is still on there.

At Rennsport they drove it.

Saw it in 1998 at the 50th Rolex Historics
Saw it in 2004 at the Quail Speedster 50th
This one may be true to the original, but it is a recreation by the factory.
