Default K40 Installers Chicago

Anyone know of a good K40 installer in Chicago? (besides allegretto whom I Pm'ed) Going to have the Calibre system installed with laser diffusers. If you have prices that's cool too, otherwise I'll call around. Looking for trustworthy sources.

The one at http://www.autosonics.net/ (which is on the North Shore) quoted me about $1900.

Call Napleton Porsche and find out who does their installs, and then DON'T GO THERE!!! Although the lights and switches were done right, the unit is in the air dam instead of the lic plate holes up front, and the 'front/rear' warning lights are reversed.

Call Mike at On-Site cellular (847.559.0990). He is significantly less expensive than autosonics, does fantastic work and will oftentimes come out to meet you to do the job. I have seen his work on multiple occasions and have been thoroughly impressed.

Called Mike. Seems like a good hook up. 1395 installed at your house with front laser diffuser. says rear is unnecessary.

That's what someone else told me about the rear diffuser. Did he elaborate about that? I was told that the police laser needs the forward motion of the vehicle to work and thus the rear was unecessary.

Exactly. He said rear is totally useless, and assuming he makes more if he installs those, I trust him.

Just had mine installed today. The front and rear radar detectors are invisible because they are covered by the bumpers. The front laser diffuser is that small black retangular thing you see in the pic below the license plate holder (it is also recessed from the plane of the plate as well to lessen the chance of damage. The interior shot (at night) shows the two blue LEDs between the (upper) tach during the power on self-test.

It comes with a tiny hand held remote to change the settings. Believe it or not, that's it. This is about as stealth as you can do it.

Having mine installed today as well boolala by Mike at On site. He's Doing it at the dealership for me, then I pick up the new car. I'm too excited!!! Did you use Mike? If you did that's why he was busy on Thursday. Hehehe. Also you didn't get rear laser diffuser correct?

Glad to see Mike took care of you. He is light years beyond what most of his competitors are and quite reasonable.

Yes I had Mike do it. As he was leaving yesterday he told me that he had a job at the dealer tomorrow. I guess that's your car!

I got the front laser diffuser only.

Best of luck with your new baby! Enjoy it in good health.
