To tint or not
Just wanted to get opinions on whether to tint or not tint your 997's.I personally think the car looks better but would love to here everybodies views and those who have done it feel if the car looks better.

i personally dont like tint because of the way it looks from the outside...to pimpish and too CIA.....but some people like the look...i hate it...it detracts from the styling of a sports car.....as far as using the tint as sunglasses, forget it...you can get much better ultra violet and infrared block in a high end pair of sunglasses, which everyone should own.....and if the tint is dense enough to decrease the light coming in during the day, it will also do so at night, which becomes a safety issue...i dont want any tint driving in the dark....i need as much light as possible coming in to my retinas....

I like having my windows tinted, but only with light tint. More than anything, I like the heat reduction and the UV protection on the leather interior. I am definitely against getting dark tint because it is too pimpish.

Tinted windows belong on Hondas, Nissans, Mitsubishis, Navigators, and Escalades. Typical "fashion statement" for the owners of those vehicles.
On beautiful 997 Porsches - not so much.
Tinting may be a matter of personal preference, but it does make a statement (like a lot of aftermarket stuff you can tack onto your car)...one you might not want to make.

As I get older I can only imagine that my night vision will be getting worse,--tinting would only aggrivate that. I tinted the windows of one of my 911s many years ago, but mostly because the A/C couldn't keep up with the heat!

The po of my car put quite a heavy tint on all windows except windshield - very pimp like.
Since I am not homely as suggested above I plan to get it removed this winter. From what I have read, removing a pro tint is very difficult so I would be sure you want a tint before you do it.

Living in Florida it's not so much about the look but about protectiong the driver and the interior from the hot sun. Summer lasts about 6 months here. Tint is a must have. That said, I also like the way it looks.

Light tint is much better looking than no tint....My black car not only looks better but is protected from the sun!
It is probably an age difference kinda question...
