SFR Vented Nose Panel
Anyone who has one, please comment. I'm be starting on fixing the accident damage on my 951 and this was one thing I want to do.

Yup, you send it to them, they cut it. The workmanship was good, centered symmetrical etc. I would do this before you paint the panel. I had a small area we the paint came loose between the two cutouts. I had to repaint the panel.

Is SFR still doing this?

I think SFR's site is a few months (at least) out of date, the IC duct service is still up, I asked about that a lot of months ago. Good sign that he is busy making stuff though! Would be nice to see an up to date one though.
PS I bought some 924 vents and intend to install them (4) in the header panel when my 968 handles turn up... I will post some pics in a month or so.

They probably had trouble doing the job to customers' satisfaction if they've stopped offering it.
Few businesses turn away paying work, if they're too busy they usually just up their rates! I'd take it to a good local body shop.

if your panel was damaged in the accident, lindsey racing via GT Racing sells light-weight panels, and offers them ducted as well (they also sell a strange looking one, the stage 5, which i had to buy to acomodate my larger IC).

NZ951, I believe that SFR will cut the 924 style vents into your panel. I remember Tim saying this a while back. I believe that they can cut any shape you like into your panels. It is best to check with SFR though. I am also thinking about doing this.

I am not going to freight my panel to the US and back for that job! I have the template giving sizes and dimensions, I will get a local shop to do it in their spare time. I just would have liked an "off the shelf" fibreglass version.

I'm pretty sure Tim hasn't been venting the nose panels for a while. I was inquiring about getting my panel cut...wow must be about a year ago now... his reply was too many panels were damaged because of incorrect packaging (prior to getting to him)...then the customer would complain to him about it. Someone needs to make a "road case" for 951 panels so they can get to and fro w/o damage, his nose panels look the best IMO.

I'd be interested in a copy of the template ..... My bodyshop could get on with it then, and also finish my 968 adjustable rear spoiler

SFR is not doing that any longer.
You can do it yourself with a dremel and calm nerves!
When you are done there are welds that need to be cut off of a support bracket.
The fiberglass versions fit like ****. Multiply the cost times 2 if you are going to have someone fit and paint it for you. They do look good though.
