Wekfest LA 2022 Brings Out Some Amazing Custom Porsche Builds
As we’ve become accustomed to, Wekfest Los Angeles featured a finely curated collection of custom Porsches.
Following a rather modest beginning in San Francisco as a simple car meet back in 2008, Wekfest has quickly grown into one of the most impressive gatherings of custom automobiles on earth, one that takes place not only in the Bay Area, but a grand total of eight different locations around the world, including Nagoya, Japan. However, the latest stop on the 2022 calendar was Wekfest Los Angeles, which just took place this past weekend, and Rennlist was on hand to capture all of the cool custom Porsches in attendance.
As one might imagine, there were plenty of those, and we’re talking the true best-of-the-best in terms in that regard. Like all of its shows, Wekfest Los Angeles organizers take applications from those that wish to have their cars on display at the event, then hand picks each one to ensure that only the finest take up residence inside the Los Angeles Convention Center. That was certainly the case at this year’s gathering, which featured some of the most amazing builds we’ve ever seen in one location.
Wekfest isn’t just a Porsche show, of course, as it welcomes all makes and models with few requirements other than the fact that they focus on custom builds and quality. As such, we spotted vehicles that fall within a broad range of categories, including JDM, USDM, Euro, VIP, race, off-road, OEM+, and more. The gathering also isn’t limited to just four-wheeled machines, as there were plenty of motorcycles in attendance as well.
With 60 individual awards up for grabs – including one reserve for the best Porsche 911 at the show – there’s plenty of incentive to get in, other than simply enjoying the bragging rights of having one’s vehicle displayed at Wekfest. After all, not everyone gets that privilege, and we can appreciate that. There are plenty of shows filled with non-professional builds, after all, but only a handful that provide us with the finest curated experience possible – and Wekfest L.A. certainly delivered in that regard.
