Purple and Gold Porsche 91 RWB Leaves a Lasting Impression
Adam’s Polishes’ Rauh-Welt Begriff 911 is a standout right down to its custom Rotiform wheels.
Last week, we spent four days taking in the mad vibes all over the Las Vegas Convention Center where SEMA 2019 featured some of the most impressive machines we’ve eve seen. And everywhere we went, there was bound to be a Porsche of some kind parked nearby. It was certainly a pleasure to see all of the wild builds making the most of Stuttgart’s finest.
Of course, we also appreciate classic custom Porsches, too, like those from Japan’s Rauh-Welt Begriff. In fact, we happened upon a pair of purple and gold RWB 911s parked at the Adam’s Polishes display under the desert sun, a pair we simply couldn’t pass up on sharing with you.
Owned by Allen Yang (purple 964) and Christian Coujin (gold 993), both RWB 911s are the perfect centerpiece for Adam’s Polishes. The company recently collaborated with RWB’s founder, Akira Nakai, while the two cars were being built.
The result? A limited-edition detail spray, with only 888 available worldwide, and only four personally autographed by Nakai himself. The scent is summer squash — per Nakai’s request — which should make detailing your 911 a wonderful experience (if you use the bottle, that is).
Adam’s Polishes wasn’t the only company involved with the purple-and-gold RWB 911 pair, though. Rotiform bestowed each car with its own set of custom wheels to roll upon, all wrapped in Nitto Extreme Drag rubber, tagged with Nakai’s “Idlers” whitewall label.
The gold 911 wears a set of Rotiform’s RW8 three-piece forged wheels in gold, which are engraved with the phrase “What the world needs now is rough” where the gold wheel meets the polished chrome rim. The purple 911, meanwhile, is shod in the company’s SIX forged three-piece units in gray and chrome, with no phrases etched upon them (for it’s painted on the car’s nose instead).
The purple-and-gold RWB 911 duo drew in tons of attention to the Adam’s Polishes booth under the warm Vegas sun. And why not? Nakai’s creations are works of art meant to be seen and experienced by one and all, whether at SEMA, or on the road.
