Rennlisters Show off Their Custom Garages

The only thing better than admiring our member’s cars is admiring where they’re stored!

With impeccable taste in automobiles, you won’t be surprised to learn that the good folks here at Rennlist don’t exactly store their Porsche machinery in pole barns. No, as you might imagine, they keep their priceless rides in garages used for their proper purpose. Not just as some sort of glorified man cave or yard equipment storage shed. In fact, you’ll spend hours gazing at the many amazing custom garage examples you’ll find in this thread. And you won’t regret one minute of it!

Aside from keeping them immaculately clean, most Rennlister’s garages also hold some pretty impressive machinery. Like awew911‘s super sanitary custom garage.

In addition to cleanliness, folks like Chris3963 also leave no doubt as to what lies behind their garage door. Now that’s what we call Porsche pride!

Then again, with a bit of a taller ceiling, Slantnose!‘s custom garage could be the perfect workspace.

But for folks like Streetking, your average two-car garage simply isn’t big enough.

“I have a warehouse at my office where I keep my track cars and trailers, and I rotate cars from there. My main garage holds eight, has a bar area, sitting area, and bathroom. I have a three car garage for my daily drivers.”

As incredibly cool as that is, there’s also something undeniably cool about old buildings. Like the one Shivatron uses to house his Porsche.

“Recently bought a house and just finished re-doing the original garage (circa 1940s). Insulated, air conditioned, pine walls, epoxy floors. Lista cabinets coming in the next month.”

Or alaint101‘s vintage work of art.

“Rebuilt the old (1868) carriage house that had been under attack by termites. It now has central heat with air exchanger to manage humidity and fumes, running water, etc. It was designed to fit 6 cars on the floor or 8 with lifts with a 6″ reinforced concrete floor and 12′ ceiling.”

When it comes to Nurburger‘s garage, we’re more enamored with the cars than where they sleep.

But maybe Rovman‘s buddy has the right idea. After all, he can gaze at his fine collection, even when they’re snugly sitting inside his garage.

“A friend’s garage. Love the see-through doors. He can be sitting in the living room watching TV and view his cars from there. Very nice.”

Then again, you could take it to the next level, like anonymous918.

“Sorry no cool completed pictures yet. My garage is currently under construction. Can anybody guess what the hole is for in the middle of the last picture?”

Responses, of course, are swift. And humorous.

“It would appear that you are building a shopping mall,” says rk-d.

But the answer is a bit of a letdown. Turns out, this is merely a two-post lift going in a massive structure that isn’t quite a shopping mall.

“I just said I need space for approximately N cars with the lift at the bottom level. Architect drew up the plans and here we are. The coolest part about the garage (aside from lots of glass in the ceiling) is that the ground level floor be done in glass in the center (very thick glass you could drive on). this way you actually will get sunlight all the way down into the lower level.”

Talk about goals. When you’ve got some spare time, we highly suggest drooling over the hundreds of member garages contained in this thread. And if you’ve got a pretty sweet one to show off yourself, please share it with us here!
