Rapper Buys Porsche Cayman, Promptly Wrecks It

Porsche Cayman

‘Lil Pump’ looks more like ‘Lil Chump’ after bragging about crashing his Porsche Cayman on Instagram.

In the world of hip-hop, bragging has always been at the forefront. And today, thanks to the advent of social media, rappers are free to indulge in the art of grandstanding multiple times a day. That means the acts of eating at a fancy restaurant, partying at an exclusive club, or buying a shiny new ride can be broadcast across the world easily and promptly.

So, when Miami-based rapper “Lil Pump” picked up a used Porsche Cayman S recently, he promptly posted a video of himself with the car on Instagram. Pump talks about how he’s “the youngest flexer on the (expletive) planet,” and proclaims “I know why they hate me. This is why they hate me.” He then removes a stack of money from his backpack to show the camera while sitting in the Porsche and smoking something that is presumably not tobacco.

One day later, the 17-year-old rapper followed up that post with an update on his roughly 24 hours of Porsche ownership. Sadly, the Cayman now sports a bit of front end damage, mostly to the hood. We’re not really sure how he managed to do that, unless he ran up under a truck. Regardless, he accompanied the pic with an interesting comment, saying “I just crashed the Porsche ouu.” We’re not exactly sure what “ouu” means, but we assume it’s a way of showing remorse.

It’s the kind of thing that makes true Porsche fanatics and the real purveyors of hip-hop cringe. The poor yellow Cayman, along with the future of the music industry, will be in our thoughts and prayers moving forward.
