Porsches Steal the Thunder at Sunset GT
SoCal auto show kicked off spring with another stellar showcase, including a Lambo Batmobile. But the Porsches stole the spotlight.
“Now, that was a solid show!” …”Stellar.” …”Very good lineup…” “Looked like something out of the Petersen…”
Utter appreciation echoed in the glowing praise heard ad infinitum from auto enthusiasts exiting Sunset GT’s most recent showcase on L.A.’s world-famous Sunset Strip. The monthly celebration of all things fast, exotic, and rare kicked off spring in a big way on April 8, once again bringing in awesome and unique vehicles that make Sunset GT one of the best auto showcases in Southern California, if not the country.
Sunset GT is a free event and takes place from 9-11 a.m. in the parking lot of Sunset Plaza on every second Sunday of the month. The April 8 event came almost a year to the day Sunset GT launched (April 9, 2017) and once again saw hundreds of fans of all ages and from all walks of life pack Sunset Plaza’s huge parking lot to get an up-close look at some of the most amazing automobiles around, from a Lambo Batmobile to a badass Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo.
“There are a lot of Cars and Coffee in L.A., and this is why we wanted ours to be different,” say the producers of Sunset GT. “We couldn’t have found a better partner than Sunset Plaza, a destination in West Hollywood that offers a stunning view of the city, trendy boutiques, and gorgeous restaurants.”
However, it wasn’t just the amazing city views and trendy boutiques nor even the Bugatti that stole our attention. It was, of course, the many incredible and unique Porsches, including a gorgeous sparkly purple one that reigned supreme; a sporty Ferrari 365 GTB/4 “Daytona” in pristine condition; and even an awesome bright-orange Porsche 911 modded by Rolloface and driven by that furry troublemaker, Ted, the talking bear. Check out the awesome Porsches from Sunset GT below, and be sure to catch the next event on May 13. Get more details here.
