It’s no secret that Porsche’s motorsport dominance has a direct impact on its outlook as an iconic sports car manufacturer, and overall appeal to affluent new and old customers.

Porsche’s official factory racing team just clinched their 4th victory of the season, and subsequently the World Endurance Championship. But Porsche’s campaign in the ruthless WEC hasn’t always been easy, or pretty. In fact, it still isn’t, and next season may prove to be a huge challenge.

With strong competitors such as Toyota and the extremely dangerous Audi, Porsche has their work cut out not only to win races, but to develop the necessary technology to continue their road car development. Because after all, that’s what racing is for; to develop future technologies to trickle down the vehicle lineup.

The WEC made its first-ever stop at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in my hometown of Mexico City, and the renowned Formula One circuit made things extra picante for the world-class drivers and machines. But why read about it, when thanks to Jose Garcia, you can watch the entire race from the comfort of your home. Yup, all 6.5 hours of it. Unfortunately, Jose explains that the first 30 minutes don’t contain any commentary due to technical problems.

Still, it’s the last 30 minute that you really want to see!
