Porsche’s newest model aims to blaze trails in more ways than one.

When Porsche chooses to do anything, they do it well. Even when competing in unfamiliar territory, they excel. Whether it’s SUVs, sedans, wagons, front-engine sports cars, or sports cars with no engine at all, they exceed all expectations. No matter what you need out of a vehicle, there really is no substitute for a Porsche.

Porsche’s newest project, unveiled mere hours ago at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show, intends to move Porsche forward, blazing new trails in previously unexplored market areas. The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo may resemble a concept built from parts of many extant Porsche models, but as has always been the case with Porsche, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

The Mission E Cross Turismo is built from a lifted Panamera Sport Turismo, with production-ready drivetrain components based on the 2015 Mission E concept. The end result is a go-almost-anywhere, do-almost-anything Porsche concept along the lines of the Volvo XC70 and the Audi Allroad.
