As part of its ‘Porsche Unseen’ campaign, the automaker shows three exciting new concept cars.

Porsche has just released a new book entitled Porsche Unseen.” The book focuses on the top secret design process behind Porsche’s boundary-pushing vehicles. Additionally, Porsche lets readers see prototypes that didn’t make it to production. For the first time ever, Porsche is publishing design studies from 2005 to 2019 which have remained locked away in their vaults.

With “Porsche Unseen” we get an exclusive look at the design process. And it is fascinating. From the first sketch to the finished model; Porsche has compiled a catalog of 15 concept cars for the book. And to whet our appetite, Porsche gave us the rare opportunity to check out three of those mysterious models.

Porsche called this 2017 hypercar concept the 919 Street. The Le Mans Prototype 1 (LMP1) racing car was inspired by the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo race car.

The production-spec version of the 919 Street shared the same 887 hp powertrain as the 919 Hybrid. As it name implied, the 919 Street was meant to be a street car with distinct race car roots. Yes, this was intended to be a driveable Le Mans record-shattering car!

It featured a lot of carbon fiber and aero styling cues. For us, the wraparound windshield is definitely the design highlight of this hot, sleek high-performance concept.
