Beverly Hills’ marquee event celebrates 25 years in style with the world’s finest machinery, which, of course, includes Porsches.

Let’s face it, the world is chock full of Porsche-specific shows. And for good reason. This is one of the most iconic brands in history, and we aren’t just talking about automakers. So it should also not surprise you that Porsche has quite the presence at pretty much every kind of auto event, including the most prestigious ones. And one of our favorites takes place on Father’s Day each year among the shopping and dining mecca that is Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California.

We’re talking about the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance, an extravaganza celebrating only the world’s finest automobiles. But as special as this event truly is, 2018 was extra special. This year marked the festival’s 25th anniversary, and suffice to say, they celebrated in style. Over 35,000 people showed up to scope out the hundreds of rare and exotic machines on display, which included an entire block of silver hued rides to celebrate the event’s silver anniversary.

There were bodacious cars like Bugattis and Lamborghinis, not to mention a classic Olds Cutlass with a gold-plated motor. But sitting between all of that outlandish stuff was a host of cool new Porsches. Which included a sweet Cayman and a pair of 911s, of course. One of which joined in on the day’s festivities with an appropriate silver paint job.

It was an atypically dreary day in the 90210, but that didn’t quell the enthusiasm of the thousands in attendance. Because what else are you going to do on a day created to celebrate dads? Lace up your all-white sneakers, put on a fresh pair of blue jeans, and cut the grass? Maybe fire up the grill later and treat the fam to some tasty meats? Personally, we’d rather just walk around and enjoy some fine Porsche eye candy. And that’s what the Rodeo Concours is all about.
