Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Configurator Goes Live

Build and price your own Porsche ‘wagon’ before it hits dealers this fall.

Say what you will about wagons, because the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo isn’t anything like the wood panel-clad, giant boat that your dad used for family road trips. Instead, Porsche’s latest is an exotic luxury sport wagon that prioritizes style and speed. The added cargo space and headroom created by that extended backside is just icing on the cake.

The Panamera Sport Turismo is even based on the short wheelbase version of Porsche’s sedan, so it’s not some kind of landlocked barge. Rather, it’s a unique and practical ride packed with sleek, distinctive styling, not to mention a super-cool, active roof spoiler. And, of course, there is the availability of many tasty high-horsepower engine options.

But while Porsche might be making you wait until the fall to buy one of these sweet new wagons, the company is allowing you to build the Sport Turismo of your dreams using their addictive configurator. And suffice it to say, you’ll quickly find yourself blowing a few hours toying around with it, because as is the case with all Porsche models, the number of options available on this thing is astounding.

Take the Turbo, for example (which we imagine you will). It starts out at a mere $154,000 but quickly escalates from there. Throw in 21″ Satin Platinum SportDesign wheels ($3,920) and the Sport Package with rear steering ($5,580), and you’ll quickly see that total on the upward tick. Heck, adding the full SportDesign body package and LED-matrix headlights will set you back nearly $10,000 alone.

Realistically, building the ultimate Sport Turismo will get you closer to $200,000. That would necessitate adding things like Dynamic Chassis Control Sport, ceramic composite brakes, and sport exhaust. Sure, you could also just opt for the base, non-Turbo model at the bargain basement price of $97,250 delivered. But what fun is that?
