Porsche Interior Detailing Gets Your Ride Ready for Spring

By -

Chances are, the interior of your Porsche is pretty nasty right now. So, why not get it ready for spring with a nice detailing?

With much of the country mired in winter hell, it’s easy to neglect your beloved Porsche. Heck, who really wants to be outside scrubbing their ride in a snowstorm, anyway? But there is one area of your Porsche that you can easily get ready for the spring right now. We’re talking about the interior, of course. and by detailing the insides of your ride now, you’ll save yourself some precious hours of pleasant weather cruising later on.

Detailing a car’s interior is a little more involved than vacuuming and dressing. Thankfully, resident Rennlist sponsor/supporter and maker of fine car detailing products, Adam’s Polishes, is here to help guide us through the process. This handy video does a fantastic job of walking you through a full interior detail without boring you to death with a bunch of unnecessary blabbering. You know, like most every other YouTube video out there.

In this case, our host uses an Adam’s Blaster Sidekick to quickly blow all the dirt and dust out of the vehicle before the scrubbing begins. Of course, you could use a traditional vacuum and accomplish the same task, albeit with a little more time. Next, our host starts with the driver’s side of the interior, which makes sense. “Once you have this little area of your car done, you’re almost halfway done with the whole car,” he notes.

That task is accomplished using Adam’s Cockpit Brush and Leather & Interior Cleaner on the door sills and door panels. Next, simply wipe them dry with an Adam’s Edgeless Utility Towel. These types of towels are great for picking up loose dirt, unlike a traditional microfiber towel. Next up, our host uses the same brush and cleaner to scrub underneath the cup holder and the console lid. He then wipes it down with the same type of towel, but uses compressed air to blast out the cleaner/dirt stuck in the cracks.

For the controls, you don’t want to spray cleaner directly onto them. Thus, simply spray some into your towel and then give them a good wipe. But even then, you can’t get into all the various nooks and crannies of the dash very easily. That’s where Adam’s Interior Detailing Swabs come into play – these giant cotton swabs make cleaning these difficult areas a snap. The console/dash area wraps up with a bit of detailing spray and a polishing towel to give your navigation screen a brand new, shiny finish.

The driver’s seat is typically one of the dirtier areas of any interior. So our host hoses his down pretty heavily with cleaner and then scrubs it with a brush. Wipe it off with a microfiber utility towel, and all the dirt and cleaner comes off nicely. And just like that, you’ve got a clean and sanitary interior ready for spring. Now you’ll be riding clean until the temps plummet next winter!
