Porsche-focused 'L.A. Lit and Toy Show' Set for March 2

Here are all the details for one of the most eagerly-anticipated events for the most hardcore Porsche enthusiasts.

The 36th edition of Southern California’s L.A. Lit and Toy Show will be held on March 2 at the Los Angeles Airport Hilton, where over 300 vendors will showcase prized Porsche-related artifacts, rare literature, manuals, posters, car accessories and more.

We at Rennlist are huge fans of the L.A. Lit and Toy Show because it is not just a memorabilia exhibition. It is a proper Porsche carnival with numerous side-events that allow you to interact with hundreds of Porsche enthusiasts from all over the world.

The side events take place at several Porsche-related businesses, like restoration shops, all throughout the weekend. If you’re in the market for a Porsche, old or new, these events can be helpful. On the other hand, If you’re just a simple Porsche enthusiast with no cash to spare, you can still learn a great deal about the company’s history and some of its greatest hits.

Doors will open at 9 a.m., and entry is $10. “Early-bird” arrivals can enter the venue alongside the vendors at 7 a.m., given they are willing to fork out an additional $20. And, according to Porsche Club of America, that may be a very worthwhile investment.

“The best finds are always snapped up early, so if you’re a committed Porschephile, buy the “Early-Bird” ticket,” writes Nathan Merz in his PCA coverage of last year’s L.A. Lit and Toy Show and its related events. “When it’s bright and early, the vendors’ tables are overflowing with the rarest of the rare. …Come with loads of green cash and your walking shoes because the chaos extends over thousands of square feet and the frenzy in the air is palpable.”
