Porsche Celebrates 70 Years with Dealership Gathering

By -

A wide range of eclectic and iconic Porsche models showed up for this cool tribute to the brand’s first 70 years of existence.

2018 marks 70 years of the Porsche sports car, which is no small feat. After all, it was one man’s dream and a singular car that turned into the world’s finest maker of luxury sports cars, including some of the most iconic machines to ever grace this earth. So as you might imagine, Porsche is keen to celebrate their anniversary in any way possible. The latest? This incredible gathering of cars at the automaker’s Magdeburg, Germany based dealership.

Luckily, the folks at Scuderia V were there to capture the whole thing on film for us. And they were lucky enough to be invited not only because they’re notable tuners of the brand’s cars, but also because they are the current record holder for the world’s fastest 991 911. So naturally, that special car was on display at this stunning event, front and center.

70 Years of Porsche

But that was only one of what looks like a heck of a gathering. We spotted everything from GT3 race cars to pedal Porsches for the kids. There was also a fine 356 on display, along with (naturally) loads of new stuff to look at. Because this is a Porsche dealership, after all.

But our favorites, of course, were the many different air-cooled 911s on display. Or maybe the 930. It’s also pretty cool to get a sneak peak behind the scenes of the dealer’s restoration shop, where we spot a stripped down body already fitted with a full cage. And what Porsche party would be complete without a vintage tractor?

70 Years of Porsche

Overall, this gathering has us more than a little bit jealous. But with so many other fantastic anniversary events still to come, there’s still plenty of opportunities to celebrate!
