Porsche 911 Soft Window Targa

Combine a one-year model with desirable upgrades in an incredibly-clean Porsche 911, and you get this slice of perfection.

It’s not like early Porsche 911 examples aren’t already highly coveted these days. But, of course, some are much more desirable than others. Among them, the one-year only 1967 “Soft Window” Targa is arguably the most coveted non-special edition Porsche 911 of them all. Porsche built only 483 of these unique Targa/convertible hybrids, making them an exceptionally rare find today. And this stunning Gulf Blue example, up for grabs at Ferrari of Denver, might just be the nicest one left.

With only 25,000 miles showing on the odometer, that comes as a mild surprise, of course. But this Porsche 911 is also an “S” model, meaning it has an upgraded suspension, Koni shocks, and ventilated disc brakes. Not to mention a 30 hp boost over the standard 911, which helps this car produce a respectable 160 ponies. And every inch of this particular car is 100% original, an absolutely remarkable fact given the car’s age and prominence.

All of which makes this particular car’s asking price of just under $200k seem like somewhat of a bargain. The atmospheric rise in values of early air-cooled Porsche 911 examples has been nothing short of breathtaking in recent years. But this gorgeous blue ’67 is quite literally a collector’s dream. It wears the right color combination, few miles, and it’s incredibly original. Combine that with the S package and the Soft Window Targa treatment, and you’ve got a car almost guaranteed to appreciate.

It’s also one of the shining examples of the incredible inventory offered up by Ferrari of Denver. The buyer/seller/consignor of rare and exotic cars does a fantastic job of tracking down some pretty amazing inventory. But in our eyes, it’s hard to top this ’67 Porsche 911 – a car that seemingly has it all!
