Porsche 911 GT2 RS Brightens Up Canadian Auto Show

911 GT2 RS

A car this brazen deserves an equally brazen paint job. So Racing Yellow suits the 911 GT2 RS just fine!

The Canadian International Auto Show is underway in Toronto, and Porsche is there in full force. Of the many models the automaker shipped over to the Metro Toronto Convention Center, you know we had one in particular on our minds – the 911 GT2 RS. And Porsche didn’t disappoint us, in fact bringing along an example of their latest (greatest?) 911 in retina-burning Racing Yellow.

Of course, there’s nothing really subtle about the 911 GT2 RS to begin with, so why not get one in the most visible color on earth? You’re already tooling around in a 700 hp, rear-wheel drive monster of a car. One that Porsche says will do 0-60 in 2.7 seconds and top out at an impressive 211 miles per hour. All for the tidy sum of $293,200. Well, good luck getting one at that price. Or getting one at all.

But if you are lucky enough to get your mitts on the next great supercar, we must say, the yellow and black combo is a pretty nice one. Some will call it a bumblebee of sorts, but they’ll be staring at the car’s rotund backside before long anyway. Which makes their opinion pretty much worthless, we say.

The yellow hue is just one of four standard colors for the 911 GT2 RS. It’s joined by Guards Red, White, and Black. Special color choices include the lovely GT Silver Metallic, Chalk, Lava Orange, and Miami Blue (for an additional $4,220). But then again, you’re already buying a seriously special car. So why not opt for a custom color for an extra $12,830?

Wheel and interior color choices are few, so you might as well make your 911 GT2 RS your own. But to us, this beautiful machine looks just fine in any hue!
