Porsche 718 Boxster

At the New York International Auto Show last week, Rennlist was present and accounted for at the North American debut of the feisty Porsche 718 Boxster, and we took plenty of photos just for you.

As we already know, Porsche dropped the naturally aspirated 6-cylinder engine from previous generations, and like the 911, the Boxster has now gone turbo—but on a 4-cylinder block this time. The entry level 718 Boxster starts at $56,000 and features a 296-horsepower, 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, while the more expensive and robust Boxster S kicks things up to 345 horsepower, courtesy of a 2.5 liter engine.

Porsche will offer a standard 6-speed manual gearbox for both models, but can upgrade to a fancy and lightning-quick PDK for a little over $3,000, which also shaves a couple off tenths off the 0-60 mph time.

Which one would you choose?
