Take a peek inside the Geneva Motor Show and all the toys Porsche brought along for public consumption.

For the most part, we had a pretty good idea of what Porsche had in store for the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Obviously, we were going to see the mighty GT2 RS. And Porsche had already revealed its intentions to debut the all-new 911 GT3 RS. But then, they shocked the world by unveiling something we never dreamed we’d see from the automaker – the Mission E Cross Turismo.

The jacked up, off-road ready, all-electric version of the Panamera Sport Turismo is probably the last thing anyone expected Porsche to roll across the stage in Geneva. And yet, here it is. But this is no souped up Subaru wagon, mind you. The Cross Turismo holds a pair of powerful electric motors packing a combined 600 horsepower. Which, according to Porsche, is good enough for a 3.5-second 0-60 sprint.

Porsche also claims that unlike many electric vehicles, you can nail the go-pedal time and time again without experiencing a loss in performance. “The Mission E Cross Turismo is an expression of how we envision the all-electric future. It combines sportiness and everyday practicality in unique style. Our vehicle will be fast to drive, but also quick to recharge and able to replicate its performance time after time,” explained Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche AG.

The other big news at Geneva, of course, was the debut of the most powerful naturally aspirated road-going car in the Porsche lineup – the GT3 RS. Porsche’s latest and greatest pumps out 520 hp while also revving to 9,000 rpm. 0-60 takes a mere 3.2-seconds, and top speed is 194 mph. And it’s all tied to a chassis ripe with motorsports technology.

And now, you can catch all of this delicious Porsche goodness in person. The Geneva Motor Show opens to the public March 8 and runs through March 18.
