The Panamera Executive: The Quickest Limo Around

We just had a chance to sneak a peek at the new extended-base Panameras debuting at the L.A. Auto Show: the Panamera 4 E Hybrid Executive and the Panamera Turbo Executive. And now we really want to be chauffeured around in them, because these Porsches are meant to be enjoyed from the backseat as much as the front.

The Executive series is a bit of a departure for Porsche, as you don’t often come across a Porsche limousine. But that’s pretty much what we’re talking about here. As Business Insider puts it: “While the words ‘limo’, ‘chauffeur’, and ‘Porsche’ rarely appear in close proximity to one another, they live in harmony within the new Panamera Executive.”

Being a proud owner of the elite Executive range means that you’re a much bigger deal than your average Panamera owner, precisely 5.9 inches bigger. Well, longer… ahem. And that extension is felt mostly in the backseat, which was designed specifically for “executive” passengers, replete with palatial 8-way-adjustable seats that recline, massage, and heat your very-important backside. Of course you’ll have electronically-adjustable air vents fanning you too. La tee dah.

There’s also a picnic table for all your dining and office work needs. And don’t forget the dual 10.1 inch, high def screens affixed to the front seats.

But while the backseat is most assuredly an oasis of comfort, odds are good you’ll want to spend just as much time up front, because though it may be an Executive, it’s still a Porsche. With the new addition of a V6 turbo option, the Panamera 4 Executive cranks out 330 horsepower; the 4S Executive delivers 440 hp via its 2.9-liter, twin-turbo V6; the 4 E-Hybrid Executive adds a hybrid drive system to muster up 462 hp; and the Turbo Executive relies on its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 to stir up a whopping 550 hp.

Not too shabby for a limo, eh?
