Mansory P9LM EVO 900 Cabrio

Limited to only 7 copies the Mansory P9LM EVO 900 Cabrio won’t be seen very often, and that might be a good thing.

Let’s get this out of the way right up front. If you are one of the seven individuals ordering a new Mansory P9LM EVO 900 Cabrio, you can choose any interior color that you want. So, you don’t have to ride around in a car that looks like it is covered in hides made from Veiled chameleons. You can also request that your car be delivered without body extensions to help tame the looks of this machine down a bit. But even with those changes, this is a pretty extreme car. We reported on the Mansory P9LM EVO 900 last year. That car was limited to just ten examples and was available in coupe body style only. Now Mansory has decided to pop the top and give us a convertible version.

A standard Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet is already a fiercely impressive speed machine. But they do tend to blend in a bit when parked in a row of other 992 generation cars. And they almost disappear entirely when sharing a parking lot with some exotic Italian machinery. If you want to stand out from the crowd, then the Mansory P9LM EVO 900 Cabrio might be for you. Just remember when the top is down everyone is going to be able to see you.

Body Conversion

modified 992 Turbo S

Like the coupe counterpart, the P9LM EVO 900 Cabrio gets a striking new design. It starts up front with enlarged air intakes and a redesigned front apron made of carbon fiber. The hood is also made of carbon fiber. Along the sides are much larger air intake openings.

There are “ventilation outlets for the wheel arches integrated into the top of the wings and body extensions on the wheel arches all around, also manufactured in visible carbon. The newly developed diffuser and the large retractable rear spoiler generate additional downforce. The rear apron as such is partly painted and partly finished in visible carbon.”

The same 3-pipe exhaust system from the coupe is carried over on the Cabrio.

Performance

The same performance upgrades on the coupe are here on the Cabrio. The engine has been tuned and fitted with larger turbos, 98 mm downpipes, a water-cooled intercooler, and an upgraded air filter to generate 900 horsepower. A stock 992 Turbo S Cabriolet has a top speed of “just” 205 mph. The P9LM EVO 900 Cabrio is able to find another 6 mph for a top speed rating of 211 mph. Take THAT stock Turbo S owners.

The Interior

Interior

If the exterior design is not daring enough for you, then climb inside for some sensory overload. The dash layout tells you that you are in a modern 911 but everything else looks very different. Lightweight carbon fiber seats sit proudly upfront. The steering wheel is redesigned with a mix of carbon fiber and leather, and it incorporates a shift light.

There are miles of leather inside this car. Every surface you can imagine is covered in leather, and whatever isn’t leather, is carbon fiber. And remember, you can choose any leather color you want.

The P9LM EVO 900 Cabrio is not for everyone. Even Mansory knows this as they plan to build just seven copies. But if you want to have a 992 Turbo S that stands out from the crowd, this machine will certainly fill that need nicely.
