Happy Porsche Thanksgiving! Top Ten Porsche Products That Made Us Happy In 2021

It is nearly impossible to buy any of the vehicles I listed here. This is the one thing that we are not giving thanks for this year. To be fair, this is not really a Porsche problem. Their only crime is making so many excellent cars that we want. Supply chain issues have made it tough to find a can of tuna in the grocery store, let alone a GT3 on a dealer lot. A standard 911 S or a base Cayman is not easy to find on a lot or even get an allocation for. You want a GT4 RS? Bwahaha. How about a sweet GT3 Touring? Good luck. OK, let’s aim a bit lower. How about a standard GT4? Nope. I contacted a local dealer a few months ago asking about a Boxster GTS allocation. I was told there was almost no chance of getting one.

GT4 RS

These cars exist. People do have them. But in many cases, it has been years on a waitlist combined with huge dealer markups. And that takes the shine off the cars. The new GT4 RS is brilliant. But tacking on dealer mark up and you are looking at a quarter million-dollar Cayman. As brilliant as it may be. Ouch. So, while it is fun to read and write about the special cars that Porsche is cranking out it is a bit depressing at the same time. Again, this is not a Porsche problem. Good luck getting a Corvette Z06 any time soon. Still Porsche is on a roll and the mere fact that these cars exist even if we can’t buy them makes us thankful. Happy Porsche Thanksgiving everyone!
