Achtung! Stunning 911 with equal parts rarity, style, and driving enjoyment hits the auction block in Germany.

A lot of people think the original Porsche 911 Turbo is pretty close to the pinnacle of automotive perfection. It’s fast, stunning to look at, engaging to drive, and just dangerous enough to make it interesting. The only thing really holding the 930 back from being perfect was the fact it was saddled for its entire life with a four-speed manual transmission.

Until 1989, that is. It was the last year for the 930, and finally, Porsche offered it with five forward ratios courtesy of the new G50 transmission from Getrag. It was the final piece of the puzzle that made the 930 Turbo just a bit more wonderful. Sadly it was only offered in Europe, and as the last year of production before the 964 chassis rolled out, production was limited. Total build count is around 850.

But if you want to get your hands on the best 930 that ever existed, there is a near-perfect example sitting in Germany right now with a price tag on it. Along with the much desired G50 transmission, this particular 930 also has one of the prettiest color combos we’ve ever seen on an old Porsche. It’s painted L041 Black, which always makes the 930 look incredible, but this car also has a Cashmere interior.

It’s just so lovely to look at.

If you’re keen on hard details, it’s a three-owner car, with less than 60k miles on the clock, and it has a full-service history. It also includes all the original factory tools and manuals as well. In short, it’s about the best-maintained example of the best 930 you could hope to find on any given day. If you’re feeling the itch to take this machine home, it’ll run you about $217,000. And that is before fees and shipping to get it across the pond. The good news is, since it’s more than 20 years old, it is actually legal to import. Just takes a little extra time and effort.

Regardless of your purchasing choice, make sure you watch the video below. It is technically an advertisement for this particular 911, but it’s actually a short film about the love and passion that automobiles can instill in us all.
