Porsche 911 GT3 Tackles the Nürburgring like a Champ!
YouTube star ‘Schmee’ finally has his dream Porsche, and he’s ready to go full throttle.
When last we saw YouTuber Schmee, he was at the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur getting the final touches put on his Porsche 911 GT3. Well, now Schmee’s car is finished, and he is going to check another item off his bucket list by driving the Porsche around the famous Nürburgring track in Germany. And, in classic Schmee form, he is psyched!
Schmee bought his Porsche 911 GT3 with with the goal of driving it on the Nürburgring. (Which, by the way, is a very cool sentence to write.) Schmee says, “The precision tool that it is makes the 911 GT3 the ideal weapon to learn this grueling circuit and have a lot of fun miles.”
He gives a quick tour of the car, sexy as hell and in race-ready condition. He is naturally very excited to see how the 500 horsepower and flat six will perform on the track. As are we! The great thing about Schmee is how much he loves his cars. His enthusiasm is only matched by…nope, nothing matches his enthusiasm.
‘It’s so funny when you’ve been playing this in a game, and now, you’re out there doing it in real life!’
Schmee starts off with a little hiccup, his license plate was not correctly secured, fell off, and now is hanging out on the Autobahn somewhere. But he isn’t letting anything rain on his parade, and he hits the track. As he starts out he says, “This is really familiarization. There’s a lot to learn…Gotta keep your eyes really on what’s going on around you.” Schmee is having a ball, and points out that, “It’s so funny when you’ve been playing this in a game, and now, you’re out there doing it in real life!”
But that 911 GT3 sounds oh so good. Schmee says “The sound is so intoxicating!” As he really gets some speed, he lets out a “Woo-hoo!” The Porsche is cornering and handling like a dream. The camerawork is great, giving us both the drivers POV, as well as a camera inside that captures Schmee’s reactions and comments.
We won’t spoil anything, because this video definitely should be watched. It’s a thrill, and track day with Schmee is a great ride.
