If you’re a fan of vintage rallies but don’t own some kind of priceless Porsche, we’ve got just the event for you.

Vintage rallies are all the rage these days. And why wouldn’t they be? For fans of old school cars, there’s nothing better than getting together with like-minded folks and hitting the road. Especially when you get to scope out some pretty incredible scenery and pretty incredible cars along the way. The Coastal Range Rally hit all of that criteria and more. And, it turns out, featured tons of incredible Porsche machines this year.

The three-day event winded through the Central California portion of the Coastal Range, which technically spreads all the way from Alaska down through Canada and into Mexico. It’s chock full of rugged terrain, incredible ocean views, and plenty of mountain roads.

The idea for The Coastal Range Rally came about from a desire to participate in a vintage rally. The problem? None of the cars owned by the guys at DWA qualified for any existing rally. So they did what any enterprising American would do and started their very own. And for this rally, the only rule revolving around cars that qualify is that they must have “a sense of occassion.”

Of course, that includes plenty of vintage Porsche goodness. So sit back, relax, and peruse the many fine machines we spotted at this year’s rally. And start making plans to rally your own Porsche in next year’s event!
