Car-Carrier Rear Ended With 7 Porsche Cayman GT4s Aboard

This is difficult to talk about, so please forgive me if I get verklempt. But for the sake of bringing you good folks all the Porsche news that’s somewhat fit to print, I’ll go on.

Seven brand spanking new Cayman GT4s were just minding their own business, enjoying the sites of the German autobahn whilst taking a routine car-carrier journey to the dealership. Alas, the Caymans never quite reached their destination.

We don’t get much information as to what exactly happened here, but the pictures are worth a million awful words. The pics come to us via the Porsche Youngtimers Facebook group (via Flatsixes.Com), and clearly show that some of the GT4s are damaged beyond repair. But even if the cars can be fixed up, would you want them? Certainly not at the price of a new one.

Apparently the accident occurred when the car-carrier slowed down quickly for a traffic jam, and was drilled from behind by another truck driver caught unaware. All told, the damage is reportedly over a million euros, presumably well over too, judging from the photos.

Both truck drivers and a third motorist were all taken to the hospital. No word on their condition at the moment, but hopefully they’re in better shape than these Caymans.
