Der Faszination returns with amazing video portraying how this Mexico Blue 1975 Porsche 911 is a perfect match for its owner.

Air-cooled Porsche fanatics have a bad rep for being snobs. When looking for an antique Porsche, everything has to be perfect. The paint has to be the car’s original color, the dashboard has to be in pristine condition, and let’s not even get into engine codes. However, this attention-grabbing 1975 Mexico Blue Porsche 911 isn’t even close to being original, and as popular YouTube channel Der Faszination reveals, that isn’t such a bad thing.

Dave Waddell, the owner of the gorgeous 911, fell in love with Porsche as a kid and has fond memories of hearing his neighbor floor a 930 911 Turbo. At that moment, Waddell knew he wanted to own a Porsche. And when the opportunity came to purchase a track-ready ’75 911, Waddell took it.

The original 2.7-liter engine has been ditched for a larger and more modern 3.2-liter flat-six that has been massaged to generate 231 horsepower and 209 lb-ft of torque. And when we say track-ready, this 911 has a full cage, stiffer suspension components, and racing seats. Needless to say, Waddell pushes the “Blue Goose” around on some incredible roads, including Los Angeles’ famous Mulholland Drive.

Waddell, as he openly states, isn’t a Porsche fanatic and can’t tell for certain whether the parts on the car are original or not. What he does like to do, though, is drive, and the car’s certainly up for a challenging, windy road.

You never know when the Porsche bug will hit you, but when it does, it doesn’t matter if you’re a fanatic or a casual car enthusiast, especially when the car is covered in this gorgeous shade of Mexico Blue.
