Beyond Murdered-Out: Porsche 911 Turbo Is the ‘Blackest’ in the World

Blackest Porsche 911 Turbo

Japanese company Pit One Customs transforms a regular black 911 Turbo into a vantablack-like Porsche 911 Turbo you’ve never seen.

The Porsche 991.1 Turbo is already a special car. It is still one of the quickest sports cars on the road today. And when painted black it has an all-business sinister look about it. Of course, even a 911 Turbo has room for improvement. Enthusiasts modify these cars all the time. Often, they are fitted with an exhaust or a tune. Aftermarket wheels are another common modification. And plenty of folks will have their car wrapped to give it a unique exterior look. But the car you are looking at here, that is if you can see it, is the blackest Porsche 911 Turbo in the world. A regular 911 Turbo is the ideal supercar for flying under the radar. However, this example takes the stealth concept even further. No one will see you coming in this thing.

A video was recently posted on the Pit One Customs YouTube channel. The company is Japanese so naturally so is the video. My grasp of the Japanese language is limited to the ability to count to ten. So, even with the English subtitles turned on it is a challenge to pickup many of the details of the paint job. However, you don’t really need to hear what is going on to appreciate the transformation from Porsche 911 Turbo to blackest Porsche 911 Turbo in the world.

911 Turbo

Musou Black

We have seen other super black cars before. Most notably the BMW X6 that was painted in Vantablack back in 2019. That paint absorbs 99.96 percent of visible light. It has uses in the aerospace and defense industries and is essentially unavailable to the general public. However, Musou Black paint absorbs 99.4 percent of visible light and is widely available. You can even pickup a bottle on Amazon if you want. This 911 Turbo was painted in Musou Black, and it is obviously a VERY black paint. The non-painted parts such as the lights appear to be floating in space.

Prep

As with any paint job the final result depends on the preparation. So, it is understandable that the vast majority of this video covers the prep work that went into painting the blackest Porsche 911 Turbo in the world. It is interesting that no parts were actually removed in the process of painting the car. The lights, glass, side markers and so on all remain on the car. However, the team does an excellent job in masking them, so the paint only goes where they want it.

Paint Prep

Around Town

The result is stunning. Although this is probably not the safest color to paint your car. When this 911 Turbo is cruising the streets, it looks almost like a cartoon car the paint is so black. For the sake of visibility and safety it would probably be best to always drive this car with the headlights on. Being Japan, a front license plate is required. However, if that is removed, it would be quite a challenge for a cop to hit this car with radar or laser. This would make an excellent car for a movie villain or someone that just wants to look like one.

The video below shows you the process of taking a normal black car to a nearly invisible black car. The transformation is shocking. It is worth a watch just to see what the blackest Porsche 911 Turbo looks like when crawling around the streets of Japan.
