ARES Design Unveils One-Off 425 HP Porsche 911

ARES Design has unveiled yet another gorgeous restomod, and this time the company has based its creation on an iconic Porsche 911 Turbo model.

ARES Design stirred up quite a lot of excitement last year when the brand introduced its ultra-luxurious C8 Corvette based S1 Project sports car. Now, the Modena-based design firm has unveiled yet another classic car restomod, and this time, the company based its creation on an iconic Porsche 911 Turbo model.

The Italian atelier welcomed the New Year by building a restomod version of a 964 generation 911 Turbo, and the custom-built sports car is a one-off reproduction for a special customer. As you would expect, ARES Design introduced a wide range of aesthetic and performance enhancements in its 911 restomod.

The highlight of ARES 911’s styling has to be its murdered-out all-black color scheme. The car also gets a giant ducktail spoiler that sits over the rear hatch, and it is a major break away from the original 964. The car rides on a set of rims that are finished in a matching two-tone black and silver color scheme. ARES Design’s creative choices for the wheels and the spoiler were inspired by Carrera 2.7 RS models of the 70s.

The cabin of the ARES 911 is wrapped in upholstery that is made of tartan fabric and fine leather. The interior also features panels that have been decorated in materials with houndstooth patterns, which is yet another not to the Porsche racing cars of yesteryears. ARES Design also equipped the interior of its 911 restomod with a PCCP infotainment system, which has been designed by Porsche for its classic models.

The bespoke infotainment system has been integrated seamlessly into the center console, and ARES also swapped the stock gauges with more modern replacements. In true ARES Design tradition, the company didn’t just focus all its efforts on revamping the styling of the car but also overhauled the 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer motor that sits at the rear of this glorious sports car.

The power plant now gets a much larger intercooler and turbocharger, which means the power output of the ARES 911 has been bumped up to 425 HP, which is 65 horsepower more than what the engine churned out in its stock state of tune. Earlier this month, we were presented with Singer’s all-terrain 911 ACS, and now with the beautiful 964 by ARES Design, it is safe to say that 2021 has been a great year for 911 restomods, so far.
