1986 Porsche 930

Turbocharged Porsche 930 is a true sledgehammer of speed and style.

In 1986 we were all living on a prayer. It was the eighty-ist of times, and we definitely have a soft spot for that era and the rad rides that emerged from it. This 1986 Porsche 930 (911) Turbo is a perfect, slick, and cool representation of the time, and is one totally awesome Porsche that came out of the decade.

This flatnose beauty was produced by Porsche from 1975 to 1989. This model, up on theĀ auction block at Carlisle AuctionsĀ boasts a 3.3L flat six engine that produces 282 hp. Much like a young Mike Tyson, this car is gonna knock you out.

In addition to the glorious rear spoiler, the Porsche 930 has an exterior of rare white gold metallic, with a gray/beige leather interior. The mileage is only 46,000 original documented miles. Which begs the question: Who didn’t want to ride the hell out of this?

The 930 also comes with factory wheels, the original window sticker, and warranty and maintenance records. While this car have been a staple of the D-bag guy from 80’s teen flicks (we’re looking at you, James Spader) it remains a classic flat six dream.

We can see ourselves riding this turbocharged beast, blasting some Bon Jovi, wearing an ā€œItalians Do It Betterā€ tee over our Members Only jacket, sliding on our Ray-bans, and riding off into the sunset…with Molly Ringwald.
